Zimbraria Neagra XC - 4 August 2012

This year, CarpatBike invites you to Zimbraria Neagra XC, a cross country competition open for beginners and families alike, who would like to spend a relaxing day in the forest while cycling and having fun outdoors. The competition will take place on the 4th of August 2012 in the are of Bucșani Forest.


The competition is organized by the Association Sportul pentru Tine and aims to build a community for those who enjoy making sport and, moreover, to support adults to educate their children to practice sport as often as possible.  The competition will include two races, a shorter route for the beginners and families with children, and a longer route, which will include a few climbs and a single trail for the more advanced riders.
A series of events will for sure make this experience worth having:  a demonstration with aeromodels, kite making and kite flying for the children as well as aerobic lessons.

On this occasion, CarpatBike will be a sponsor of the family race and will offer bicycles for rent for the duration of the event. For more details on the competition please enter www.sportulpentrutine.ro.

ONMotion - Every Kilometer counts!

ONMotion.ro is a national campaign through which the cycling communities and everyone else are invited to use the bicycle as much as possible (on the park alleys, on the pavement, on the road, on mountain paths, for recreational purposes, at competitions, as means of transport and, why not, perhaps even on a stationary bike.

Campaign duration: 15 March-31 October 2013
Our campaign is not a competion, but a game to play! Our main goal is to emphasize the benefits of using a bicycle instead of a car. Each participant receives a cyclocomputer which will be mounted on the bike and which he will be able to keep afterwards, as well. Based on the distance covered by each participant, everyone will find out the following indicators:Total distance (km), calories burnt, the equivalent of CO2 level as it would have resulting by driving the car.
Who can register? Every company or organization no matter its business or field of activity, located in Romania as well as abroad.
Who can do it? Any employee who has a bicycle and is using it during the campaign period, be it during his/her free time or to bike to work. Of course, in case companies already offer their employees the possibility to use company bicycles to go to work, they may use them in the programme. Participants register on the website voluntarily after previously communicated internally in the company.
