- ~90 Km by bike from Baile Tusnad to Saint Ana Lake and Balvanyos Resort
- Discover a unique green area nested with mineral water springs with healing effects
- Full board and accommodation
Traveling from Brasov to Miercurea Ciuc, along the Olt River, you will enter the “mineral water land”, a place where you find “probably the best water in the world”! Between two mountain massifs with old woods – Baraolt and Ciuc – you pass places naming mineral water well known brands: Zizin, Bodoc, Tusnad, Sancraieni, Ozun, Malnas, Covasna, Harghita.
Here, the Olt Valley is narrow, the mountains are approaching, villages replace cities, woods are coming closer to the road. Finally, Baraolt and Ciuc Mountains meet in a single point: Baile Tusnad resort, our meeting location.
A volcanic lake (unique in Romania), sulfa caves, natural springs and cascades, old fortresses, kurtoskalad, forest roads, goulash, forest path: all of these are the ingredients of this lush area. We know the routes to each of them and we crafted for you a two days cycling itinerary to help you discover them.
We will explore the area by bicycle, under cool pine groves, until we reach the unique volcanic lake in the country (St. Ana Lake) and let yourself suprised by the effects of mofettas and traditional mineral bath use.
The ideal destination for the refreshment of body and soul in an area nested with mineral water springs with healing effects. Discover the mofettas, the air rich in aerosols and the specific natural values of the region and the surrounding natural reserve.
