Almost everything and we are not kidding! From friendly, happy and knowledgeable guides who will support you to many special little things that will make your bike holiday in Romania into a unique, amazing and definitely authentic experience.
Each of our trips has a minimum of two Guides. If our group sizes get above 10 persons or if the trip is logistically demanding, you will have additional driver guide to ensure that you always enjoy superior customer service. The service, knowledge, passion, fun and flexible attitude, as well as the local connections that our guides have make each and every trip your vacation of a lifetime. *Special events and trips with 4 or less guests have only one guide.
Cannondale, Trek or Cube XC or hybrid bicycles are available for tourists in our tours. We also can support with GPS cycling computers, panniers, bike helmets and other gear and equipment to make your ride comfortable. We offer you the possibility to buy unique CarpatBike bike jersey and other merchandise to remember your memorable bike trip with us in Romania.
In our tours we strive to accommodate you in the best traditional, even luxurious guesthouses, restored manor houses, castles and authentic village retreats off the beaten path. In every region we travel, we uncover the area’s best and original accommodations. On our Transylvania trip, you will stay in truly unique medieval locations while in Bucovina, Moldova and Danube Delta you will experience traditional local homes and guesthouses.
All breakfasts and most lunches and dinners are included in the price of your trip. On our trip, you will sample the finest local delicacies from the region from the innovative to traditional dishes. Our locations are careful chosen and your special dietary needs are always taken care of. On private and customs trips guests are usually given the opportunity to dine on their own so that they can discover a location independently. Of course, the trip consultant will provide you with a list of good restaurants or dishes to try.
On the first and/or last evening we host a social hour to give everyone a chance to get better acquainted or exchange ideas for the future.
We have a buffet of nice treats on our snack including (but not limited to) recovery beverages and energizing healthy bars, fruits, healthy local specialties, as well as some not so healthy but so good items such as chocolate and other sweets. If you have any special requests, we will be happy to accommodate them.
Since the idea is to experience as deep as possible the country you travel to, we will make every effort to expose you to the region and have hands on experience. All of the cultural events, crafts workshops or wine tastings that are mentioned in your itinerary are usually covered in the cost of your trip.
We support you both on and off the bike. We always have one guide/driver in our support vehicle and the other cycling along side you. They’ll fill up your water bottles, change your tire, encourage you up the hill, provide you with local insights and stories and make sure everyone is on the right track. Off the bike, your guides are at your service to help you with anything you need—wine or dine suggestions, massage appointments, authentic souvenirs or to find that special local treat you’re after.
Our trips often take place off-the beaten track and cover a wide area. We provide all transportation from the starting point of the trip and at the end of your trip. We will ensure that your bags are safely delivered to your hotel room every day.
Once you’ve booked your trip you will receive on your first day a complimentary guest packet to get you prepared for your cycling vacation. This includes a CarpatBike merchandise, detailed trip description and plan and small souvenir.
