Pedal along gravel roads and trails, wind through enchanting forests, traverse charming villages that seem plucked from a storybook, and ascend to hilltops with panoramic vistas. We invite you to embark on a 3-day gravel biking adventure with medium-difficulty routes, covering distances ranging from 25 to 55 km per day, with an elevation gain between 500 and 1300 m. The routes are suitable for gravel but also mountain bikes, depending on your riding style and bike preference.
It will be three days of relaxation, fun, and adventure in Bran area, where you’ll have the opportunity to join fellow enthusiasts like yourself. Nestled at the base of the Piatra Craiului ridge, the villages of Dâmbovicioara, Ciocanu, Sirnea, Fundata, and Pe?tera have preserved traditions unchanged for millennia, creating an ideal natural setting for hiking or biking trails.

Day by day
Depending on your arrival plans, you can either depart from Bucharest by train and meet with our guide at our hotel or we can organize to pick you up from Brasov airport/train station and transfer directly to the mountain area. Presentation of the program for the next days.
An optional 15-20 km warm up of Sohodol or Tohanu hills.

Our ride heads for Zarnesti gorges, then, after the woods and meadows of Piatra Craiului National Park, we
get to the hilly area and the altitude villages of Pestera, Magura, Predelut and Sohodol.

Distance: 35 km, gravel hilly terrain, ascent 600 m
Morning gravel tour through Fundata, Fundatica, Podu Dambovitei, Dambovicioara, Sirnea villages. These are typical Romanian spread out villages, occupying the ridges and valleys at the foot of Bucegi Mountains. We will ride all day in the hilly area between Piatra Craiului National Park and Bucegi National Park, through the villages and the alpine meadows, on cart roads, single tracks, country lanes. Our itinerary takes us through orchards, hamlets and valleys, occasionally stopping to admire the open landscape, views of Bran Castle (also known as Dracula’s Castle), or to have a drink on the terrace of one of the local rural pubs. Late afternoon we return to our guesthouse.

Terrain:
This tour includes national, local, village, and forest roads through peaceful scenery. The terrain includes hilly routes, unpaved country trails, and rolling hills and is suitable for cyclists in good physical condition.
On this tour, 60% of the riding is on forest and off road paths, 30% is on quiet roads with little traffic, and 10 % on roads shared with traffic.

You may choose to bring your own seat, pedals, bottles and/or other accessories; we will change out seats and pedals for you.
Helmets:
While a helmet can be provided, we recommend that for safety and hygiene reasons you bring your own or plan to purchase one upon arrival. Please consider also bringing your own water recipient.
